Description

Description A sessile oakwood developed on the side of the valley of the Afon Cnyffiad. This wood is of note on account of its fine mature maiden oaks. The trees support a rich epiphytic lichen flora including a number of uncommon species. With its rock outcrops and wet flushes, this grazed woodland is a fine example of the upland acidic oakwoods which once covered most of mid-Wales.
