Description

Description A narrow strip of woodland on a Liassic limestone slope in the Vale of Glamorgan. Primarily ash and oak with hazel, maple and hawthorn over spindle, wayfaring tree and other native shrubs. The ground flora is dominated by herbs characteristic of base-rich soils, including the uncommon Paris Quadrifolia and Ophioglossum vulgatum.
