Description
Small Seal Islands The SSSI comprises five small islands Gasker, Coppay, Shillay, Haskeir and Causamul to the west of Harris and North Uist, plus Flodday to the south of Barra. Collectively they support one of the largest grey seal Halichoerus grypus pupping sites in the Western Isles, with about 2,000 pups annually. The colony on Gasker is the largest, with over 1,000 pups born each year.
