Description
LANG CRAIGS Lang Craigs SSSI lies approximately 1.5km to the north of Milton. It comprises of a south-west facing basalt outcrop with rock ledges supporting species rich tall herb communities. Uncommon plant species present include navelwort Umbilicus rupestris, mossy saxifrage Saxifraga hypnoides and few-flowered sedge Carex pauciflora. The tall herb assemblages present on this site represent the best example of this habitat at the lower limit of its altitudinal range within the area of search.
