Description
HAMILTON LOW PARKS Hamilton Low Parks SSSI, lying immediately to the east of Hamilton, supports one of the largest (grey heron) heronries in Scotland. The site comprises woodland, open water/grassland habitats and a section of the River Clyde. The grey heron Ardea cinerea nest within the mixed plantation woodland.
