Description
Area, 28.7 hectares 70.9 ac Description The cliffs along this stretch of coast provide some of the very best sections in the Pleistocene Cromer Forest bed Formation, especially in Cromerian marine and fresh water deposits and freshwater sediments of the early Anglian Cold Stage. At both Mundesley and Paston – the type locality, marine and rarer fresh water deposits of Pastonian age are particularly well developed. A nationally important site for its extensive Pleistocene sequence.
