Description

Area, 0.08 ha. 0.2 ac. Description Bage Mine is of international geological importance as the only British source oftwo very rare lead minerals, matlockite and cromfordite, both of which were first identified from this site. The minerals are complex chlorides of lead and were first discovered at Bage Mine over 120 years ago.
