Description
Description This small quarry exhibits the most complete sequence of the lower Namurian Corbridge Limestone, for which this is the type locality. The Corbridge Limestone shows marked faunal differences when compared with the other limestones in the Northumberland Trough sequence, particularly in their coral communities. This site has great potential for palaeontological and palaeoecological studies.
