Description
Description A disused quarry along Langbaurgh Ridge exposes sections of the 'Cleveland Dyke'. This is the best known and furthest travelled member of an unusually persistent dyke swarm, which, some 60 million years ago, traversed central and southern Scotland into North East England, over a distance of 370 km, from a Tertiary igneous complex centred on Mull.
